the Broncos invade Akron today on ESPN2 to take on the East division leading Zips. Western Michigan comes into this game with a three game winning streak, but is 1-2 on the road in the MAC. the Zips at 14-4 & 5-1 in the MAC use a seven man rotation, that is showing positive results as they led the conference in fg% 48.8 & in 3pt at 39.5%. Akron also leds the MAC with 16.1 apg, 4.1 bspg, & have a +4 turnover ratio. on the defensive side they are second in the league in defense at 61.3 ppg & 8.7 steals per game. Rhodes Arena is a tough place to win as the Zips are 24-1 su the last 25, including 15 straight in the MAC, & 7-1 this year with the lone loss coming at the hands of Nevada 73-71. this is a chance for the Zips to shine on a rare national TV game as i see them coming out on fire.
