  • Sat UNRANKED Plays

    SATURDAY:

Butler vs Detroit +4 (falls into BAD ATS category so taking Butler…especially w/ them having a gift given to them by LoyChi—focus & more motivation is what I'd suspect)

USC vs Cal PK (almost a damn Double Down…)

Air Force vs BYU -1.5 (DD play…AF rolling & I’ll say right now, PUBLIC will be hammering AF...AF plays bad on Sats ATS, teams have great ATS vs each other at home 9-3, BYU off 2 road games happy to be home, CONF FAV vs RANKED!!!)

Fla. vs Auburn +11.5 (good ATS in this spread range but a tough one w/ Aub emotional & big W over Ala…so passing or taking FLA could be best play; Fla good ATS on Sats, OVERS w/ these 2 have been 'norm', FLA also coming off of 2 lackluster nonATS covers) PASS for me....

Good luck fellas…more on Sunday and I think those games look even better.

I guess nobody liked my post...lol...anyway, that Butler line looks like a trap, and I really don't see the public hammering AF considering BYU's home winning streak...I wouldn't be surprised to see a few service GOYs tomorrow on BYU.

Like BYU but should be a good game, Detroit is brutal, Cal is pretty weak, and I think Auburn looks solid with all those points even off the emotional win. What about Alabama -3.5? The revenge game

Detroit sucks...I thought that line would be >6...I think the USC/Cal match-up is a tough one...no idea about the Auburn game...as for my boys, I know BYU has won 27 straight at home and this falls into the 14-2 conf trend, but I have a feeling AF plays tough in this game and wins it in the end...this game is huge for both teams obviously, and I'm hoping AF got out of their slump in their last game vs. TCU...yes, TCU sucks, but sometimes games like that can change a team's momentum for the rest of the season...I could be wrong, but I really like AF tomorrow...I may just play BYU, that way I'm happy either way...lol

USC will come to play after that horrible display vs Stanford.

Detroit is nowhere near as bad as you all think. They are going to beat Butler outright tomorrow.

Ditto the Rook's post VV. I've been putting the teams in the appropriate category based on the numbers I get (local & usually close to the closing line) & it has worked well so far for me. Good luck to everyone today...................

Some info on the BYU/AF matchup.

Air Force will have a tough time matching up to Trent Plaisted in size.
--Backup C John Frye gave the Falcons a lift early in their 72-39 victory over TCU. In 12 minutes in the first half, Frye scored a season-high seven points on 3-for-3 shooting, pulled down four rebounds, blocked two shots and had one assist.

--After sitting for more than 15 minutes in the first half of Tuesday's game against TCU due to foul trouble, senior C Nick Welch came out inspired in the second half. He scored seven points, grabbed three rebounds and made two pinpoint passes for assists.

                      BYU
--G Sam Burgess surprised New Mexico by scoring five points near the end of the first half in Wednesday's 70-49 BYU victory. He had a total of six points in the previous seven games. The 6-foot-3 junior, a Provo-area multi-sport high school legend, has struggled to find a niche at BYU despite redshirting last season. Burgess might see more playing time because starting PG Rashaun Broadus was kicked off the team recently, though ball-handling isn't Burgess' strongest suit.

--Early critics of G/F Jonathan Tavernari are eating a little crow. He scored in double digits for the third time in conference play, tying his career high with 18 points on 7-for-10 shooting against New Mexico. At one point he had more points (14) than minutes played (12). Coaches can't say enough about how he's melded into the offense and is taking more appropriate outside shots.

--In six conference games, senior PG Austin Ainge has 48 points, an average of eight per game. But he's also setting up others, recording 28 assists. He tied his career high with eight against New Mexico to go with as many points. And he had only one turnover in 35 minutes.
