  • Superbowl Game of the Year

    Indianapolis Colts -7

Why in the world is this game -7?

Miami and Green Bay (last game of the season) are the only two teams to handle Chicago this year. They had relative ease with mostly every team this year. Indianapolis is laying 7? I don't see it, this line is making Chicago seem to be the easy pick. Buck the "easy winner", take the Colts. Peyton will not choke, Rex will. Under looks okay too.

    Colts 24-10.
    2009 MLB:
    JULY
    23-19 (+21.72x)
    Sides; 8-12; -9.43x
    Totals; 17-9-1; +33.20x

    AUGUST
    1-2 (-4.7x)

      Hi Chado

Haha.....Bears had a `CUPCAKE` schedule!!??...Any team the Bears play could qualify as `cupcake`, because there are few if any to match their Defense....They rotate NFC/AFC divisions like any one else...I think they play the AFC West in `07, San Diego being one of them, but then they play Oakland which should drop them back to the `cupcake` category...GL buddy

FYI the Bears had the 28th easiest schedule this year. Not starting nothing but that is fact. NO played the 31st easiest schedule so punking them out on a crap field didnt really impress me.

And i dont know which way i am betting, just so you know

              Hi jcindaville

Hey, my friend, I know your not starting anything... I`m aware of a SOS or Strength Of Schedule being used in NCAAF for placements of rankings and such , but I just don`t put any stock in it`s betting value in the NFL, because there are a bit more variables involved....Whoever coined the phrase`ANY TEAM ON ANY GIVEN SUNDAY`I assume was not a student of the `easy/tough schedules` theory...Should be an interesting game though..I`m getting bored as shit waiting for it! lol...GL

                Hi twr108....sorry, my bad

I didn`t mean to bust into your thread and comment on Chado`s and others remarks without acknowledging you, which is the primary reason I entered here....I just got caught in the heat of the moment,....sorry....But I think the line as it is now, is to bring in the Bear bettors taking the +7....Later, closer to game, the line (I think) will drop to make it more favorable to the Colts bettors, maximizing cash flow on both ends...I know it sounds simplistic, but I do believe this is the most wagered event of the year (both legally, and illegally)GL

This game opened at 6.5 and quickly moved to 7. Due to the betting magnitude of this game and the line sitting on a key number I'd be shocked if this line moves off 7. If it moves it'll move back to 6.5. Vegas won't move this line to 7.5. They run the risk of getting middled if they move the line to 7.5. Vegas got killed when they were middled in SB XIV.

Per USA Sagarin ratings Colts played the 5th toughest schedule while Bears played the 29th.

Sargin needs to re-calculate his numbers on that one. They play Tennessee and Houston twice a year.
