Brooks is suspended and a HUGE loss for Oregon tonight. Add to that a hungry Washington team at home where they are VERY tough to beat and i'm with you on this play as well.
Along with what Wayne said (I think Brooks is the most valuable player in the country), Washington has been playing all these road games, and they are a totally different team at home. They have perhaps the most underrated home court advantage in the country (because no one ever seems them play on national TV) and they also get Hawes back.
Brooks is suspended for intentionally elbowing UW's Appleby, by the way, and Romar has been showing tapes of that all week. Add in that UW needs a conference win, and that Oregon's guards other than Brooks have not been very good at decision-making this season, and in a hostile environment, I think they will have a ton of turnovers.
Remember, in preseason, UW was ranked #8, and Oregon wasn't even receiving votes. Now, the roles are reversed, and I really think this is just a fantastic situational play.

I have Washington as a play to but dont forget this is a big rivalry game and u never know how a team is going to react with the star player out.It might bring them together or they might just give up if they get behind

I think the fact that it is a big rivalry adds to the Washington Take. They will be up for this game. Oregon on the other hand, if they get behind and look around for their leader who isn't there, they could, could, pack it in quickly. Usually i would agree about the team stepping up w/out the star player but only in the pro's. I think College's are much more dependant on their leader and superstar with very young kids around them.
