Here we go again...c'mon MM, Iraq was ruined before we even invaded the country. It was being run by the 2nd most ruthless human being on this earth. Forget all this WMD and oil BS, we fucking had to go in there to get his shitty ass out. This guy invades smaller countries trying to take over, brutally gasses his people, and kills his own athletes if they don't live up to his standards so as far as I'm concerned, we did the right thing. Did we have an acceptable follow-up plan...NO, but how can you bash what's going on without even considering what it was like to live in Iraq before we got rid of Saddam. The American public is so fucking spoiled it makes me sick. No offense to anyone who knows someone killed in combat (and yes, I'm in the military), but 3,500 troops is nothing when you compare it to Vietnam, Korea, and the 2 WWs before that. If the media in this country would start supporting the military and the US by showing some of the worthy things we do in foreign countries instead of the supposed "bad" things, people in this country would have a much different and more accurate view of reality.
