smartest move he's made all year.
It's not disrespect...but he's not ready so why not get another year under his belt and see if he can stay healthy.

Wow pimp...everything I read and heard he was behind Russell, Quinn, and Smith, and Brennen...and depending on who else left...could be further down.
Injury prone and labled as a "system quarterback".....
Not knocking the kid mind you cause he's tough as nails...but I think he's got a much better shot to make his money next year.

Kinda how everyone knew about Leinart and then Cutler wows the scouts and people were sayin he shoulda been #1.......if he stays because he isnt a 1st rounder than sure I agree with you Rook...stay and try to get the 1st round take but if hes a sure fire 1st rounder and stuck around he is silly

Ive watched him a couple times.....he's a talented kid...that's the truth.
I guess if money is not a factor...leave now, become the 3rd string QB for some team and just start learning the NFL game
But I cant think of 4-5 better quarterbacks next year.....so I think he's made the wise choice.

Seeing Brohm this low will probably come as a shock to many but the reason for his fall is two-fold. First of all he really isn't as good of a prospect as some have made him out to be and the consensus in scouting circles is that JaMarcus Russell, not Brohm, would be the second quarterback drafted this year. The second reason is just lack of teams between picks 14 and 22 with a glaring need at quarterback. With Byron Leftwich falling out of favor and David Garrard not seizing the starting job it looks like the Jaguars will be in the market for a new quarterback in the near future so to acquire Brohm, who could be a Top 5 pick in 2008, here would be ideal.
This mock draft had him gon to the Jags at 22 behind Quinn at 1 (to the Lions so it cant 100% current) and Russell at 14 to Buffalo (maybe this before Losman got going?)
Ill look for a few more

System QB, Petrino runs an NFL style offense thats why Atlanta wanted him. Louisvilles offense is definately not a system. Texas Tech yes, hal Mumme yes. Bobby Petrino, your kidding right.
No one will know where he would have been drafted, as he is staying. Im not a scout or My name is not Mel Kiper, and no one here is either. From what Rook has heard to what i have heard vary differently, and its all just our opinoins anyway.
I think he stayed not because of what his draft status was, you have to understand how much the Brohms were apart of this community. So you understand there mentality i will give you an example.
Jeff Bromh older brother and QB coach was just offered to be Nick Sabans offensive cordinator. That is a major upgrad from being the QB coach at Louisville and think if he went there and Bama became dominant and an offensive jugernaut. You know he would be snapped up for a head coaching gig in a minute. Well he turned it down, and in his own words his decisision was based on do i want to help Alabama win a national championship or do i want to help Louisville win one.
He stayed, was that smart, probably not. Not everyone is Nick Saban and Bobby Petrino. There are some people on this planet that stay for the love of there job or school. I personally think Bromh would have been a lock for the first round, but that is JMO. And i do think he stayed cause he loves Louisville and one more year isnt going to hurt him.
And yes Griswold i am very happy he is returningQuestions, comments, complaints:

The good thing about Dimer is you know EXACTLY were he stands
Dimer the one thing i like about you and Wayne is that you dont fall into confrence bias like most of us do. I tend to agree about Brady, if he played at Louisville Everyone would view him like Rook does Brohm. No offense Rook, but lets be real, he GETS LOTS OF LOVE cause he plays at ND.
