  • McNair lovefest can quiet down

Man, I despise the Ravens, and am thrilled they lost. I got so sick of hearing about the savior McNair was. Guess what? He lead that offense to six fucking points..................at home...............against a bad Indy defense.

        Indy defensive rankings

        21st in total defense.
        23rd in scoring defense.

Indy does NOT have a good defense. They have a good defense against a shitty offense like the McNair led Ravens.

Those numbers do not include Bob Sanders. They are a different defense with him (2 games, 14 pts.).

I agree Wayne...he is a difference maker, especially against the run. They aren't as good as they have been the last two weeks but they are not nearly as bad as they have been all year....

I don't disagree about Sanders, but he doesn't making a bottom tier defense into a top 5 defense.

Besides, McNair's RB rating this year was a VERY average 82.3. That was good for 15th in the league. The same rating as David Carr, just behind Delhomme, and just ahead of David Garrard. He is NO savior.

if the Chargers play the Colts next weekend I'm predicting Tomlinson has a field day.

What's so hard to understand...it was the same game plan as last week...8 in the box and let the QB beat you...and neither QB was good enough. A getting better Colts defense that is gaining confidence beat a mediocre at best offense.

And imo QB rating is a stupid stat...so many flaws....

Exactly, that makes McNair's performance even more pathetic. They stack the box and he still can't beat him.

I also don't disagree about QB ratings, but it is a better stat than me just saying he stinks.

Really odd that when the Ravens were down, no sense of urgency came from McNair or any Raven. I know one the attributes he was bringing to the team was poise, but how many times were plays started as play clock just hit 0, or a timeout b/c he didn't get his team out of the huddle in time. Laid back and poise is one thing, hustle and energy is another.

and let's not kill the stat, b/c the top 10 is
                            Manning
                            Huard
                            Brees
                            McNabb
                            Romo
                            Palmer
                            Bulger
                            Rivers
                            Brady

                            The bottom 10 are

                            Walters
                            Gradkowski
                            V. Young
                            Harrington
                            Plummer
                            Frye
                            Favre
                            Grossman
                            Leinart
                            Smith

The only one of the top 10 or bottom 10 that is out of place is Vince. Basically the QB ratings aren't accurate for 2 QBs in the league, Vick and Vince, the only two QBs that are better runners that passers.

You gotta stop smoking that strange stuff my man...Romo desrves to be in the top 10? Huard? I'd even question Bulger.

btw, up until week 17, Losman had a better QB rating than Brady....'nuff said....
