I've been a garbage pail lately with my plays, but I feel real strong about this play in the Ivy
Penn -5' @ Cornell
Penn returns 3 senior KAPTAINS and a 6th man from a defending Ivy league championship team. One of the 3 is Ibrahim Jabeer the riegning Ivy League player of the year who also leads the active ncaa D1 players in career steals.
Both teams seem mediocre hovering around .500 records BUT...Penn's schedule ranks 32 by Pomeroy and Cornell's is 306.
Cornell comes in off 3 straight wins while boasting 71 ppg and 47% shooting in those 3. They are also holding teams to 52 ppg and 34% shooting in that span. BUT... that came against Colgate, Ithaca and NJIT.
Glen Miller (no Kaptain not the band leader) is a first year coach at Penn but he is no stranger to the Ivy league coming from Brown. I think he has the more experienced team and will want to make a big statment against a conference foe in their conference opener.
Penn has a stronger inside game shooting 55% from 2pt (Cornell is @ 50% vs. weaker) and should win the battle of the boards.
Penn leads the all time series SU 140-66 and on a 16 game win streak having won the last 2 by 40 and 11.
I also have leans towards
Columbia +2 over Princeton
Harvard -6' over Dartmouth
Best of luck
