    Philadelphia at New Orleans
The Eagles return to New Orleans where they lost to the Saints (27-24) in Week 6 on John Carney's 31-yard field goal as time expired. Back then the Saints were just trying to establish themselves as a legitimate contender with new QB Drew Brees while the Eagles were a consensus front runner behind MVP candidate Donovan McNabb. Now the roles are reversed as New Orleans comes in the favorite with the No. 1 ranked passing offense, while the Eagles are still trying to prove doubters wrong behind back-up QB Jeff Garcia. Ironically, Garcia's emergence has forced Philadelphia to rely more on RB Brian Westbrook, which has actually made them a more balanced team than they were under McNabb. The result has been six straight wins, including three straight on the road over Washington, the Giants and Dallas that enabled the Eagles to make the postseason. While the Eagles have proven they can win on the road, New Orleans has shown it can lose at home. A 4-4 record included double-digit losses to Baltimore and Cincinnati. Philadelphia looks like a dangerous road underdog (+5) this one according to Dunkel, which has the Eagles favored straight up by 1 1/2. Dunkel Pick: Philadelphia (+5). Here are all of this week's games.

          Conference semifinal round

          Saturday, January 13

Colts @ Ravens-- This is Colts' fourth trip back to Baltimore, the city they deserted after the '83 season, with Indy 1-2 in previous three, winning here 24-7 LY. Ravens won last four games, nine of 10 since their bye in October; they were 7-1 at home, losing only to Carolina, in game that cost OC Fassel his job. Indy is 4-4 in its last eight games, losing last four road games. Would expect to see Baltimore running ball to exploit Colt defense that yielded 785 rushing yards in its last three road games.

Eagles @ Saints-- This will be highly emotional game for Saints team that has exactly one playoff win in franchise history, but is sentimental choice to erase all that this month. They beat Philly 27-24 at Superdome in Week 7, leading 17-3 at half, then falling behind, before Carney kicked walk-off FG to end 27-24 win, in a game where Brees was 27-38/275 passing vs Johnson's blitzes. Backup QB Garcia has rallied Eagles to hot finish, but this is a road game on short work week, tough spot for Eagles to win.

          Sunday, January 14

Seahawks @ Bears-- Seattle lost 37-6 at Soldier Field in Week 4, getting outrushed 143-77, converting only 4-16 on third down and averaging just 3.6 yds/pass attempt. Holmgren always had great success vs Bears when he was with Green Bay. Seahawks had three-game losing streak last month, not sure they're up to a road win in playoffs, even though Grossman's horrible play has Bear fans calling for backup Griese to play. After winning first four home games by average of 38-8, Bears split the last four.

Patriots @ Chargers-- This is only Patriots' second visit here in last decade; they lost 21-14 back in '02. Chargers also hammered Pats 41-17 in Foxboro LY. Main focus here is Marty's 5-12 career mark in playoff games, and Rivers making first career playoff start vs QB, coach with three Super Bowl titles. Patriots are 7-1 away from home, losing only at Miami, which was their last loss, five weeks ago. Chargers haven't lost since Oct. 22, winning ten in a row; they're 8-0 at home, 5-3 vs spread as a home favorite.

                        Orlando at LA Lakers
Dwight Howard has put the Magic on his shoulders, which is spelling trouble for the opposition. Orlando has won five straight as Howard has recorded seven straight double-doubles. His last outing was the best of his young career as Howard had a career-high 30 points and a season-best 25 rebounds in a 91-76 win at Golden State that snapped Orlando's four-game road skid. Tonight the Magic travel to L.A. to face the Lakers, who will probably try to use either Andrew Bynum or Brian Cook to slow down Howard. But neither had much luck against 40-year-old Dikembe Mutombo in a 102-77 loss at Houston on Wednesday. Hard to see how the Lakers slow Howard down enough to cover the Vegas line (-5) according to Dunkel, which has Orlando favored straight up by 3. Dunkel Pick: Orlando (+5). Here are all of today's games.

                          Dartmouth at Harvard
Since losing by 51 points (83-32) at Kansas on November 28, Dartmouth has won six of its last seven against more comparable competition. Included in there was an 80-73 overtime win against Harvard last Saturday in which the Big Green were led by senior Leon Pattman's season-high 27 points. Pattman has been a main contributor throughout Dartmouth's turnaround as he has averaged 18.4 points in the seven games since he returned to the lineup. Tonight Dartmouth heads to Cambridge for a rematch with Harvard, which has lost four straight including a 20-pointer to Sacred Heart (95-75) in its last home game on December 20. The Big Green look like a good underdog pick (+7) in this one according to Dunkel, which has Dartmouth favored straight up by 1 1/2. Dunkel Pick: Dartmouth (+7). Here are all of today's games.

Road victories have been few and far between for Minnesota, but the Wild picked up a big one last night at Vancouver (5-2).
