An example of action points would be +150 for a total between50-55, +200 55-60, +250 60-65 etc.... not saying that's what it would be in this case, but some books will give you odds for both higher and lower numbers. all kind of "prop" bets.$100/unit

Sorry for not answering earlier. Let me give you an example. Instead of betting $100 on Florida +7, you could bet $5 action points and set a "cap" (maximum number you can win or lose) of 20 points. Then, for every point UF covered by, you would win $5. For every point they fail to cover by, you lose $5.50. For example, if Florida won outright by 4, you would win $55. If they lost by 20, you would lose $71.50.Originally posted by Pitt37
I don't know if any online sportsbooks do this (5Dimes used to), but I know of two local bookies that offer it on both sides and totals. It's a pretty common practice actually.

If anyone is interested in the alternate lines, Pinnacle has them on their main page as "Wagering to be available soon" under NCAA Alternates. Don't think they would put up the link if they weren't going to be putting out the lines. I'll check there throughout the day and see if they go upComment
