When we were younger, we'd do things to be different and stand out to be recognized........

The fact you're a non-drinker, makes you different, and I for one appreciate your efforts in driving friens arund that do want to drink....

I kinda like to look at the drunks making ass holes of them selves, as I once did....know what I mean Verne.....

I was a Freshman in College, and my Buddy Dave and I had dates with our girls, and we were all drinking pretty heavy, New Years Eve, and some how, some way, the girls decided we (Dave and I) were too drunk to drive home (about 25 miles) from Thibodaux La (The College Inn)(I'm sure LSU JImmy knows where this is at)..........

So being the wise ones we are, we gave the girls Daves VW to take home, and we'd continue to drink, and meet em later at another site (Party in my home town)...

On the way home, just on the outskirts of my home team, we saw Flashing Lights, and a Red VW that had run up and completely through a Pipe truck from the rear, and the pipes had de capitated 2 BEAUTIFUL 19 YEAR OLD GIRLS.........

You guessed it----Our Girls---I didn't stop drinking then, not until 16 years ago, but since that day (1961), new years eve has been a scary and shaky day for me........

I'm proud of you, you may have saved some lives, we'll never know, but I tend to believe you did your part....kapt
