I might agree with you there, but isn't that really a sign of how "not great" the SEC is? I watched 5-6 Georgia games this year, and they are a mediocre team at best.

Not saying the SEC isn't a top 3 conference, but when you're considering Georgia in the top tier, that's not a good sign.

I thought Ohio State fans knew something about college football. Maybe some do, but you sure don't. You are either stupid or blind if you think Georgia is "a mediocre team at best" right now at the end of the season. Mark this one down, they will be in the SEC Championship Game next December. They have improved dramatically in case you didn't see them their last 3 games. They are a legit Top 15 team RIGHT NOW which is all that matters. Better than Tennessee, that's for sure.

Non-conf they pounded WKU and UAB, beat an awful Colorado team by 1 at home, and beat Geo Tech by 3.

Also they were #37 in the Sagarin ratings and their conf wins were against SC, Miss, Miss St and Auburn. 1 good team, 1 below average team, and two awful teams.

What matters is what you do late in the season. All teams improve as the year goes on if they are well-coached. Ga Tech lost to West Virginia (Big East co-champ) by three. Lost to ACC Champ Wake by three. Lost to GA by three. Beat hell out of Auburn, a team that beat Florida by 10. Beat a very good Va Tech team after being down by 18. Mediocre? Hardly. Top 15 team IMO. So what if they lost to Vandy (a team that played Michigan very tight) and Kentucky. Lost both because they didn't have their kicker!! Otherwise 11-2. Tenn got 51, 21 of which were from turnovers inside the GA 10 yard line. Otherwise they played Tenn straight up. Lost to Florida by 7 (again, a turnover that UF converted into 7 inside the GA 15).

A team with a lot of youth and inexperience earlier. I say they are a Top 5 team in the SEC today.
