CFB YTD 42-36 -2.9 units
4* 0-1 -4.4 units
3* 1-1 -0.9 units
2* 4-7 -5.4 units
1* 37-27 +8.2 units
CFB/NFL Combined 60-58 -12.05 units
4* 0-1 -4.4 units
3* 1-2 -4.65 units
2* 7-10 -6.2 units
1* 52-45 +3.2 units
These are my first two plays of the post-season.
Friday:
2* Kentucky +10
I posted this pick earlier so I won't restate my reasons other than that I believe the SEC was much tougher than the ACC this year and Kentucky is highly pumped up about being back in a bowl game.
Saturday:
2* Navy +6
Is there a better coach around than Navy's Paul Johnson? He flummoxes teams with his innovative option offence. Give him a month to prepare for an opponent and he's dangerous. BC doesn't even have a coach as new HC Jagodzinski is still with the Packers and the team is being run by an interim staff, many of whom are likely to be fired or go to NC State with O'Brien. And how motivated are BC's players knowing that their coach quit to go to a school in the same conference. BC's kicker is suspended. Here's a great stat: Over the past 32 years, service academy teams are 19-6 ATS in bowl games. BC is another team with an inflated record thanks to playing in the ACC.
Opinions only: Oregon State, Minnesota
NFL:
I'm playing this now because the line is likely to move up if KC beats Jax earlier in the day.
2* Broncos -10 (-115)
I wouldn't bet any NFC game until after Saturday's Giants-Redskins game because that result affects nearly half the conference.
