  • I Leave the Country for a Week and Comeback to TB -3 1/2 on Sunday?

Just got back from a cruise on Queen MARY 2...a very nice ship, but I wish the average age of people onboard was a little less

Anyway, I took a short look at Sunday's lines, and I saw TB -3 1/2 over Seattle. I know Seattle has lost 3 in a row and TB beat Cleveland last weekend (big deal), but what am I missing about this line? Considering the 3-pts for home field advantage, Vegas is telling me that TB is 1/2 pt better than Seattle at this point in the season? I have watched TB all season, and believe me, they are only 1/2 pt better than about 2-3 teams in the NFL and Seattle isn't one of them. Someone please sway me the other way so I don't lose my ass betting Seattle this weekend...thanks.

My strategy all year has been to look for lines that supposedly look off and take the other side. Like you said, vages is telling you something. And while the whole world jumps all over a side, they are very disappointed to find out it's not as easy as it looks. So in week 12, I would be all over T.B. but unfortunatly, that line is about right. The reason for that is because it's likely that seattle will rest some of their starters this week since they clinched their division last week and can not really gain too much from this game. Games like that are very hard to mess with but good luck!

Seattle has absolutely nothing to play for and has a game next weekend.

Do you really want to bet Seneca Wallace on the road with no Alexander at RB for three quarters?

If you like Seattle despite this, I suggest you wait as the line should move up.

Glad you brought that up- its tough to go the other way when something looks so obvious. Congrats on your first post!
