I'm only posting some info on the game. I don't use artificial reasoning to cap games. None of this had any bearing on this selection.
Bobby Bowden`s tough season hit a new low last month, when boosters paid the coach`s youngest son, offensive coordinator Jeff Bowden, to resign after six seasons of falling production under his direction.
Though the resignation of his son was tough personally on Bobby Bowden, poor offensive production made the change necessary.
In 2000, Mark Richt`s final season as offensive coordinator, the Seminoles averaged 42.4 points and 549 yards a game on their way to a national title game against Oklahoma - totals never approached during Jeff Bowden`s six years as coordinator.
In the last three seasons, Florida State has averaged fewer than 30 points a game - for the first time since the 1981 season. And while going 0-5 against divisional opponents this year, they averaged just 16.6 points a game.
I'm not seeing what you guys are in backing FSU, Weatherford will get buried by the Bruin 'D'. Unless the creminoles get a defensive td or a TO deep in the Ucla zone they won't score. They are the most inept offensive team in the nation and the whole staff is gone after the game and that old fart should go with his son. UCLA 13-6.GL anyways.
i like the pick a lot frank, ucla was an average team at best. only when dorrell came uder fire and was rumored to be on the hot seat did his team respond by winning games against mediocre oregon state and arizona state to become bowl eligible. the last game of the season, a win against then #2 usc, was a game that they are jacked for every year, being usc is their cross town rivals. I also think that the team knew that a win against usc saved their coach's job. that all being said, i think they are due for a let down, and the superior talent of fsu will be the difference. anyway GL and i'll be on them as well.
Play On - Underdogs of 3.5 to 10 points (Florida St.) - in a bowl game, in a non-conference game between two teams from major division 1-A conferences.
(26-6 over the last 5 seasons; 81.2%)
This system is 14-1 ATS since 2002 and 49-29 ATS since 1995.
----------------------------------------------------------
Getting back to UCLA's upset win over USC, the Bruins are a terrible 0-5 ATS in bowl games following a victory over USC and 2-7 ATS as bowl favorites. Meanwhile, Florida State is a whopping 15-3-1 SU/ATS in games when their win percentage is .500 or less, and Seminole's head coach Bobby Bowden is a terrific 18-8-1 SU in bowl game. Bowden would like nothing more than to end up over 500 and be 7-6 helping to ease the memories of his son as offensive coordinator.
"The range of what we think and do is limited by what we fail to notice.

You couldn't have been more wrong. FSU had over 400 yards of offense vs the Bruin D.
