Things are always different and difficult during finals week. NCAAB becomes totally unpredictable.
During the past week, there have been players who have been far more worried about maintaining their eligibility, due to struggles in one class or another, than in playing ball.
Coaches also struggle through finals because they have not yet been able to set a permanent rotation for their teams. They know that, after this week, they will be losing some players' eliglibility while gaining it for others who were not eligible before semester grades.
After the final grades come out, all academic pressure is off and predictability returns.
This is an established pattern that befalls NCAAB at exactly this time every season.
After fading NCAAB all week, I plan to return to it, on Tuesday, because, now, everyone is concentrating on playing ball.
The Gators were a perfect example, on Saturday, of what can happen the instant that pressure is relieved!
