Tulsa +6.5. Hate to go against the Sooners. But I went to their game last Saturday night in Norman. They won big but it was against UT-Arlington. And their offense did not look good. Their ball movement is often non-existent. They have no offensive flow. I think it's gonna take Capel a while to get this team rebuilt. Losing all those blue chip recruits when Sampson left really hurt. They have some talented players. Longar is a pretty good inside man. He can score when they get the ball into him, but they don't do it often enough. And he's a fine shot blocker. Michael Neal was one of the premeire shooters in the conference last year. And Griffin is really athletic, super-strong big man and can play inside. But even he was just going down the court and jacking up 3s too often in that game I saw. What a mess.
I think most of the Sooner fans were at Lloyd Noble last night to see the women lose their first game this season. So the crowd at the Ford Center in OKC today will be a lot of OSU aggie fans...Tulsa is predominantly populated by Aggie fans. And I think the Pokes play in the same tournament later in the day.
