Need Some Information on Texas

The line with my book has dropped from Texas -11- to Texas -8-. Anyone have any information on why? I can't for they life of me understand how they can't win this game by a bunch.

Texas may cover this game cause they're at home.....Texas is a different team at home (stronger), and Ark is weaker when on the road, with that being said, here's some stats for ya....

Ark 8-2
Texas 7-2

Ark has by far played the tougher schedule.......

Sagarin Rating shows
Ark playing as an 83, against 73 competition
Texas................84.............69............ ....

RPI shows
Ark palying as 62 vs 57 comp.
Txs...............53.....46.........

I palyed Texas my self, cause of the home factor, and the line which I thought was high.......I think oddsmakers want us to take Ark, this is why I took Texas..........only reason + home factor........

Texas by a bunch----I don't think so....IMO.......kapt

Cheche, I'm assuming you mean the Alamo Bowl?
If so, this has a lot to do with it (and it could be a really big factor, because Iowa's run defense is strong, it's their pass defense that has let them down), as does Texas's lack of motivation to play this game and the fact that even though the Hawkeyes didn't have a great season, Tate and Ferentz are the kind of QB and head coach you don't want to give a month to prepare, especially as big underdogs.

QB situation is also questionable - Matt McCoy is a non-scholarship 5th year senior with no playing experience backing up a banged up Colt McCoy after the transfer of Jevan Snead to Ole Miss.

I doubt if that's what he meant, that line opened 8 and never came close to 11. It went to 8.5 briefly, then closed in the 7/7.5 range.

Will thanks for all the insight. Since 10Dime feels the same way I do I'll be playing Iowa. They suck but 10Dime and I haven't been right on the same game all year. (Just Kidding Dimer)
