I always get a charge from the spirited debates at this point in the season, from cappers both capable and otherwise, regarding "motivation" and other intangibles when trying to decipher an edge for one side or the other.
The participants are all motivated, one would assume, by the lure of further financial gain and recognition, from winning and advancing and being on TV and anticipating greater feats.
Perhaps lost in the analytical debates, ignored or underemphasized, is the mettle of the opponents, or the carefree alternatives, thought to be devoid of any motivation of their own, save for the instinctive self-preservation tactics in contract years or whatever excuse is deemed OK to play out the string, etc.
Blah, blah,blah...the short answer is to take the opposite approach, i.e. the looser opponent is the better play:
Minn -3.5
NE -11
Tenn +3.5
GB -5.5
I have lost a considerable amt in recent weeks in every sport , and the NFL is my worst, so consider these facts when fading these.
