    2* 4-7 -5.4 units

    3* 1-1 -0.3 units

    4* Wisconsin-Whitewater +1
    This game, available at virtually all offshore books, is for the Division III championship and will be televised live on ESPN Saturday afternoon. I received a fair amount of grief a couple of years ago when I made a Game Of The Year play on the over in the Pro Bowl. But I believe some of these more obscure games present the greatest opportunites because the linemakers don't have as much knowledge as some others (as opposed to high profile games where the lines are very sharp).
    Both teams are unbeaten and Mount Union is the small favorite based solely on reputation as Mount Union has been the dominant Division III program for a decade and won the title last year against this same Whitewater team. But this year is different:
    1) Whitewater has crushed most opponents;
    2) Whitewater twice beat Wisconsin-La Crosse, a school that won ON THE ROAD against a strong Division 1-AA team (Div III schools never ever do that)
    3) Whitewater is a veteran team with more experience than last year;
    4) Whitewater's coach announced earlier in the year that he is retiring at the end of the season. His team has a chance to send him out with a title in his final gama, ala Al McGuire;
    5) Whitewater's offense has been unstoppable all year;
    6) Whitewater's QB has thrown 36 touchdown passes with only six interceptions and has a quarterback rating of---get this---154;
    7) Whitewater's star RB has been out much of the year but returned three weeks ago and both his backups gained over 1000 yards;
    8) Whitewater is good enough that it might have been favored to win the Division II championship.
    Consider all of the above factors or not, I believe there is a very flawed line to exploit here.

        And another thing, you post a GOY on anything you damn well want. You have never been the type to use that term loosely

                    P.s.

                    Bill Clinton just called me to say he's betting on my play.

                    He says he always invests in Whitewater.

                        sounds like you did your homework on this one Gris-------I agree with JC---throw out a GOY on whatever you feel comfortable with......and yes, he's right, you don't throw em out there loosely.......

                        I'll put a token on it blindly, out of respect for your capping skills, and your research..........

                        Thanks for sharing----kapt

                          Gris----you got me curious so I started looking into this game, as I didn't know their opponent or anything about em.......

                          WhiteWater is playing Mount Union.......for the second year in a row........

                          Whitewater won last year 35-28.........

                          They both finished the season 10-0 and got to the finals this way...

                          1st Rd
                          MU 49-0
                          WW 59-17

                          2nd Rd
                          MU 35-3
                          WW 24-21

                          1/4 Finals
                          MU 17-14
                          WW 17-14

                          Semis
                          MU 26-14
                          WW 44-7

                          Since 1993, MU has won the Div III Championship 8 times.......
                          WhiteWater----none........

                          This is a gutsy call on your part.....I'm still gonna go with ya on it though..........kapt

                          Just had to show this to ya, but I'm sure you already knew these stats...............kapt

                          MU rated #1 and WW #2, and they are playing at MU..........

                            Kapt,

                            I think you mis-typed the result of last year's game (Mount Union won 35-28) as the rest of your description refers to Mount Union's total domination of Division III for nearly a generation.

                              I like the call, even though I know nothing about the game, for one reason, why would they only be underdogs by 1 point if they've been dominated for a decade, and they're playing on the road. They must have the much better team this year.
