  • Friday's Gems

Been on a roll as of late. Chalky night for me.

    Rockets -5 -111

Bobcats are 0-13 when allowing more than 93 points. I think the Rockets will reach that mark tonight. Yao will present many problems for the Bobcats tonight. I'm confident in Houston winning this game, just hoping they cover the 5.

    Wizards -3.5 -105

With AI and Chris Webber out I just don't think the Sixers can keep pace with the Wiz. Sixers have lost 10 of their last 12 and have allowed over 100 points in 5 out of the 6 games. Not good news with one of the best scoring teams coming into town.

    Spurs -8 -104

Clippers are 0-6 on the road this season. Only team winless on the road. Get to watch this team nightly and they are night day difference home vs away. Add the fact the Clipps have lost its last seven games in San Antonio and has dropped nine of its last 10 matchups overall with the Spurs. Spurs will win this. I think they pull away from the number late in the game.

    Bulls -5 -104 1st half POD

The Bulls have won and covered in 13 straight against the Raptors and are currently riding a six game win streak. Not a good matchup for the Raptors. Toronto is 2-9 on the road and the Bulls are an amazing 43-2 ATS when they win the game outright. Chicago has been running over opponents early in their last six contests, outscoring opponents by an average of 15 points and have outscored the Raptors by an average of 13 points in the first two quarters in their last three meetings.
    Love this play.

Hawks + the points. Will play this closer to game time.

The Hawks seem to play good teams well. Hawks do have some talent and I think Joe Johnson has a huge night with the Lakers having trouble guarding the perimeter players that can shoot and drive. With a sprained anke Kobe settled for jump shots last game instead of driving to the hoop. He lacked his usual explosiveness which is a plus. The Hawks are 35-17 ATS in their last 52 road games versus a team with a winning home record. Hawks seem to play well when least expected.

    Stars -.5 +105

The Stars are 16-2-1 in their last 19 games versus the Oilers. Marty Turco is coming off two shutouts. He also has performed very well against the Oilers in his career, posting a 5-1 record with a 1.66 GAA and three shutouts. It all points to the Stars tonight.

    Hurricanes/Canuckers under 5.5 -126 POD

Love this game tonight. Carolina has also lost four of its past five games away from home only scoring 8 goals, getting shut out twice in that span. In those 5 games Carolina has failed to score on the Power Play in twenty attempts. Canucks have scored more than two goals only twice in the last 16 games and are last in the NHL with 2.07 goals per contest. Under Under Under

    Good luck tonight
