  • Tressel opens up a can of worms??

    Your thoughts?

I think by Tressel not voting, he basically told Michigan, FU, we are not playing you again and ruining our chances or we like our chances better w/ some other team to win the National Championship...

What better way to improve recruiting IF they win championship??

A different angle as to how this whole process works...

I just read how some idiots voted...one voted FLA above OSU...what? And another kept USC 3rd? WHAT?

Talk about a flawed system or complete BS. Then throw in the incentives coaches get based on bowls or where they rank in BCS...PLUS they vote themselves...ex: Stoops got $100K for Fiesta & another $75K for top 10 BCS ranking...WOW, I'd vote myself/team as high as I could for an easy $175K BONE-US...

Regardless, sys sucks and until a playoff is created, we're IDIOTS for debating what can't be debated...BCS SYS & who plays who...LOL

Tressel, had no way of knowing the human polls would flip flop. Then again, maybe he did. Something smells very fishy.

I also don't believe Tressel feared playing Michigan again. In athletics teams always feel they can win. Going into yesterday's game vs Indy most of the Titan players felt they could and would win the game. Anyone that's played sports knows this.

I don't buy this. Athletes want to play the best opponent. They have a cockiness about themselves. They feel they can beat anyone, anytime.

I good example of this was the Contender TV series. The boxers often chose the toughest fight not the easiest.

I played hockey at a high competitive level. At a tournament my team was facing the best team in the country. I had no doubt we could beat them. We lost but we gave them a tough game.
