My take on the SEC is this....they are a bunch of good teams....nobody dominates that confrence and it's not because they are all so great....they are a bunch of evenly matched teams....they dont have a USC or an ohio st or a michigan....they are all good teams that beat up on each other and people think its the toughest conference ever....i dont know what the toughest conference is but i dont think its the sec....buckeyes win big...jmo....i have been wrong before.

Originally posted by longnexI know im a SEC fan, but how can you guys continue to say that the SEC is over rated? The new polls are out and the SEC has 4 teams in the top 12 and 5 teams in the top 17. How can they possibly be over rated? They continue to beat up on each other every week. Even the bottom half on the conference gives the top teams a good game. In my opinion from top to bottom the SEC is the best conference for college football.
I realize other teams outside the SEC are good also, but from top to bottom the SEC is the best in my opinion.DON'T YOU EAT THE YELLOW SNOW !! PS-MARVIN LOVES SPLIT SALAD !!

EXACTLY....The Buckeyes are the best team in the nation...yes they will beat any team in the SEC this year...but thats not the point he is trying to get across...the SEC does take a beating every single week almost...It's not like most conferences that have to play a very strong out-of-conference schedule to get some notice...almost every week any team in the SEC is capable of beating any other SEC team...i.e. Arkansas whoopin' Auburn in week 6...there is almost no "cupcake" games in a normal SEC in-conference schedule.......
.....as the old sayin' goes....JMO

Yeah He Is On The Take, He Wants People To Play On The Sec Teams, Most Of Those Analyists Don't Know Thier Ass From A Hole In A Wall. They All Read Off Of A Piece Of Paper What To Tell The Viewing Public. So The Sec Has 8 Teams Going To The Bowls, Lets See How Many Of Those 8 Cover The Spread. I Say At Least Half Don't Cover The Spread

If you want to go back through CFB History, in the last 30 yrs the Sec has been one of the top Conferences overall........
Each Conference beats each other up..........Do I think the Best team is from the SEC this year----NO---but do I think the Sec is the strongest conference.........IMO yes........
Each conference takes their turn with the Best team in the Nation, but the conference that has been consistently stronger, by final polls, IMO is the SEC.......
I have no stats to support that, other than my memory, and it is fading fast.............
They all take their turns for strength, but over the years, the SEC has been the stronger on a steady basis........kapt

Now...If you're going to say that Ohio State is the best team in college football...I can't argue with you, to date they have proven to be.
...If you believe Michigan deserves to be in the BCS Championship game over Florida, there are points on both sides that can back up both sides.
....But if you're gonna tell me that that the Big 10 is a tougher conference then the SEC I'm going to say "YOU'RE SICK".
The number of teams in the top 25 from the SEC last year was more than the Big 10 (probably more then any other conference) and as of now, both conferences have 3 teams in the top 10 but the SEC has 5 in the top 25, Big 10 does not (again the SEC probably has mor ethen any other conf)
The SEC teams have an 84% non-conference win Percent (42-8 if my math is right), the Big 10 70% (29-12).
The SEC is the TOUGHEST conference in college football...Remember the three R's:
Respect for self; Respect for others; and Responsibility for all your actions.
