This is only my 9th play this season because I only post plays where something has happened which has a positive effect on one team over the other team. In this case, it is a change in Offensive Coordinators. The Raiders finally got rid of their OC. They should have done this a long time ago but he is Art Shells friend. Did you know that the OC had been out of football for years running a bed and breakfast in Idaho. They never should have hired him in the first place. No wonder the Raiders have the worst offense in all of football.
The Raiders defense is still playing great, in spite of being on the field for most of the game. Until the Raiders gave up 21 points to the high scoring Chargers last week, they had gone six weeks in a row giving up less than 20 points a game. The Raiders are playing Houston at home and are only a three point favorite, probally because of their lack of offense. I don't think its widely known the Raiders changed Offensive Coordinators or the spread would be higher. Now you know, so take advantage of this and lay the small number.
Even though the new OC has only been in that role since Tuesday, he was the teams receivers coach so he knows what needs to be done with the offense and has already made some changes for this game. As much as I hate Brooks, he is an improvment over Walters, another reason the Raiders offense will come to life. A new OC, the starting QB back, still one of the better defenses in the NFL and playing Houston at home. I can't see any problem for the Raiders to cover the small three points. I might have written too much, but that is because I really love this play.
