Last week was a train wreck for me as I went 1-3 in CFB including an 0-3 Saturday in which all three plays were 2* or higher. It's made a mess of my season record but i hope to bounce back with two nice winners here.
1* Louisville -27
UConn has to close on the road at one of the toughest home fields in America. Louisville is deadly at home and can get a BCS bid with a win and a Rutgers loss to West Virginia (likely). Only one team here is likely to be motivated at Petrino isn't shy about running up scores.
1* Hawaii -7 (-120)
I got burned laying a big number last week with Hawaii but the seven point win was misleading as they outgained Purdue by nearly 200 yards and left lots of points off the board in the first half. Oregon State is off an emotional win over archrival Oregon and has very little to play for. OSU has a Sun Bowl bid locked up, win or lose. I don't expect them to produce the kind of effort Purdue showed up with last week. Hawaii RB Ilaoa now listed as probable and QB Brennan can still make it as a Heisman finalist with a big win over a major opponent. Hawaii's offense is a sight to behold and the team is likely to be intensely motivated to put on a show for the national TV audience. Brennan can set all time single season record with four TD passes. Projected final: Hawaii 52, Oreg St 35
