Alright guys, really like this one now that I can get the critical number.
NCAA Plays (62-45-4, +23.73)
2* Ohio +3.5 (-105)
Ohio opened the favorite in this game at Pinnacle, and I'll tell you what. I think I'm the only one that agrees with that assessment. Now the line has moved 4.5 points, and I think we get a generous number with the better defense, better running game, and better coach - Solich won two conference championships when he was at Nebraska, and I think that could be a deciding factor.
I really like CMU QB Lefevour, but the Chippewas rely on him a little too much. Ohio boasts the best secondary he will have seen all season, one that is ranked #13 in the country, and CMU will have next to no success running the ball.
Everson is not a great QB, but he is a senior, and things will be made easier on him by the second best RB in the MAC, Kalvin McRae. CMU's rush defense has been decent, but they struggled down the stretch, and the only back as good as McRae, Garrett Wolfe, torched them for over 200 yards.
Whenever I can get a team that gives up 9.7 fewer points per game in conference, 66.2 fewer yards per game in conference, and rushes for 1.1 more yards per carry than its opponent, all on a neutral field, I expect to be favored. The 3.5 points are just a bonus. Ohio wins outright.
Good luck everyone!
