Red flag for Cincy is that in four games before blanking hideous Cleveland offense, they allowed average of 454.8 yds/game during 1-3 skid.

                  Baltimore at Cincinnati

The Bengals looked like they were toast when they blew a 28-7 halftime lead to San Diego at home in Week 10. It was Cincinnati's third straight loss and fifth in six games, and looked to seal the Bengals' fate. But to coach Marvin Lewis' credit, he has kept the unit together and they proceeded to win back-to-back road games against New Orleans (31-16) and Cleveland (30-0) in convincing fashion. From the standpoint of the offense, the trio of QB Carson Palmer and WRs Chad Johnson and Chris Henry look to be clicking on all cylinders right now. But perhaps more importantly has been the play of the defense, which came into the Browns' game ranked last and pitched a shutout. The competition gets significantly tougher tonight against the Ravens, who have won five straight overall and four of five on the road. But those four road wins have come against Tampa Bay, Cleveland, New Orleans and Tennessee -- all rated lower than the Bengals. The only highly-rated team was Denver, which beat Baltimore by 10 (13-3). Given the Bengals newfound confidence, they look like a solid pick to cover the Vegas line (-3) according to Dunkel, which has Cincinnati favored by 5 1/2. Dunkel Pick: Cincinnati (-3).

                    Ohio vs. Central Michigan
A pair of improbable teams square off tonight for the MAC Championship as Ohio plays Central Michigan. The Bobcats looked like they were headed for another losing season when a loss to Bowling Green dropped them to 1-3 against Division I opponents. But seven straight wins have Ohio on the verge of a 10-win season, something the program hasn't done since 1968. A big part of that has been the Bobcats strong performance on the road where they've won four straight and five of seven overall, including wins at Illinois and Northern Illinois. It's a loss at Northern Illinois (31-10) that stands out for Central Michigan down the stretch. In that game Garrett Wolfe rushed for 202 yards and dominated the ground attack. Ohio also has that kind of player in Kalvin McRae, who rushed for 180 yards and two long TD runs in his last game against Miami of Ohio. The combination of McRae and Ohio's impressive road run makes them a dangerous underdog (+3 1/2) in this one according to Dunkel, which has Ohio favored straight up by 2. Dunkel Pick: Ohio (+3 1/2).

                      Utah at LA Lakers
After its first bump in the road this season (back-to-back losses to Golden State and Orlando), the Jazz got back on the winning track last night in impressive fashion with an 83-75 victory over San Antonio. While the offense wasn't there, Utah was able to dominate the Spurs on the boards and outrebounded them 50-34, including a 16-7 advantage on the offensive end. That effort should help against a Laker team that stumbled in its last game at home against lower-rated Milwaukee (109-105). Utah looks too good to pass up as a Vegas underdog (+4) according to Dunkel, which has the Jazz favored straight up by 4 1/2. Dunkel Pick: Utah (+4). Here are all of today's games.

The Sycamores come into this contest having won four of their first five with the only loss coming at Indiana by a respectable seven points (73-66). Middle Tennessee (2-4) has opened with a tougher schedule (the Blue Raiders have already played Alabama and Tennessee), but losses to Toledo and College of Charleston stand out because of their similar ratings to Indiana State. The Sycamores look like a good pick to take advantage of the Vegas line (+5 1/2) according to Dunkel, which has Indiana State favored straight up by 2. Dunkel Pick: Indiana State (+5 1/2). Toronto at Atlanta
The Thrashers come into the contest with a two-game winning streak, but have not done a great job protecting the home ice lately as they've dropped two of their last three to Dallas and the Rangers. The only win was a 1-0 squeaker over lower-rated Florida. The Leafs have been one of the better road teams (7-3-2) in the East and handed Washington a lopsided loss (7-1) in their last road game. Toronto looks like a good underdog pick in this one according to Dunkel, which has the Maple Leafs favored straight up by 1. Dunkel Pick: Toronto (+1 1/2). Here are all of today's games.
