Spurrier has always said that Alabama would be his dream job. Word has it that his wife was in Tuscaloosa Friday checking out real estate.Being a big Bama fan I am hoping he does! Shula just didnt have it,,he was a great guy but not a coach. It would be different if there was no talent there but that is not the case. Just no coach to coach the talent.

Alabama fans are so delusional. Last time, the name at the top of their list was Jimmy Johnson.
This time, the two people everyone is talking about are Spurrier and Stoops. Give me a break.
You talk to an Alabama fan, and they say they want a big name, not someone like Jim Grobe, Steve Kragthorpe, or Paul Johnson, who legitimately would think about coming, and would bring at least as much success as the bigger names.
                  Records:

                  NCAA Hoops (38-34-2, +4.59*)
                  NFL Sides (34-25, +12.15*)
                  NFL Totals (18-14-1, +8.23*)
                  NCAA Foots Plays (65-48-4, +21.47*)
                  NBA Plays (4-1-0, +5.92*)

Yeah take Spurrier and 3 years down the road you will be doing the same thing you are doing now.. Looking for another one because Spurriers track record VS Auburn is almost as bad as Shula's lol.. And believe me they will fire your ass if you cant beat Auburn.. Ask Bill Curry.. 2 season back to back 10-1 and guess who he lost to both seasons?? Yup you guessed it AUBURN.. Keep bringing coaches in.. Auburns loves it when you change coaches because guess what happens?? We win the Recruting war once again..

Here is a little piece of a write up to all that is dreaming of Spurrier..

Speculation over his replacement has focused on Miami Dolphins coach Nick Saban and South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier, both of whom continue to make it clear that they have no intention of leaving their respective jobs. A friend of Spurrier reiterated as much Monday morning, when Spurrier was out of Columbia recruiting.

Spurrier plus Alabama sends shivers up my Gator spine.

Bama will have a SEC championship in three years or less with Spurrier.
