  • Early NFL draft talk!!

Wow I think the Lions are eyeing the first spot. Who is coming on strong to be worthy of that number 1 pick? Anyone have comments on the worst team in NFL or best player in college?

The guy is a beast. The lions probably will never draft a wide reciever in the first round again. Talk about no knowing how to develope talent. Mike Williams will be cut after season. Lienart said he was the greatest talent besides Bush that he had played with.

All the hype is on Brady Quinn. Does this years draft suck compared to the past years? Who really stands out? I'm still holding to what I said about the Lions getting the first pick!

Troy Smith is a stud. He is being overlooked because of Quinn. He can make all of the throws. I hope the browns get this guy. But if not him maybe the lineman from Michigan Jake Long.

I agree exactly for the Browns. I'd love either!

I think Quinn is a better prototypical NFL qb than Smith, but what do I know. I think he definitely has an advantage from playing the complex offense that Charlie Weis runs, so he's ahead mentally which is where a lot of difference is in the NFL imo.

That is true. He definitely the best sure thing in South Bend since Ron Powlus, lol!

The knock on Troy Smith is his height being only 6'. With o-line being 6'3"+...might cuz a small probelm. I like Troy more than Quinn b/c Troy can scramble. QB's now need to know how to scramble

The only problem the experts say if he would of come out last year he would have been the 4th best QB. Thats amazing considering he could be # 1 overall this year.

I think the Lions will draft Brady Quinn. But IMO it will be a mistake. I would like to see them trade down and get Smith or an offensive lineman later in the 1st round. The lions are more than 1 player away from contending.
