Early in the season I like to look at how many returning starters a school has as I believe team chemistry is hard to find sometimes and any school with players that played together the year before has an advantage over teams with 1, 2, or no returning starters. I also look at what I perceive as coaching advantages as I believe some coaches can coach their way to wins early in the season before the teams true talents starts to show. Of course, every situation is different, so take it for what it's worth.

i really dont like early in the season games ...i usually wait until the second half and get more of a feel for the teams and then go with line movements and %'s and stats
