Schilling is 55 years old, DM has never pitched a game in MLB, Papelbon has never done or proven ANYTHING as a starter, Beckett led the majors in HR's allowed and refused to throw anything else but a fastball ... and Wakefield is about as old a Schilling and i'm sick of him!

Wayne, i have to agree.. I do believe Lidge is going to boston and hopefully he will choke in the AL if that does happen... I wonder if the yanks will land Zito or Shmidt... I hope not.. My question is this....I know they only pay the $42 million IF they sign him. Let's say after 30 days, they do not sign him...does the next highest bidder get 30 days to sign? If not, perhaps the Red Sox put a huge offer in just to gain the rights with no intention of signing him to keep him away from the Yankees? Could this happen? It would not cost them a dime....
