I know I'll get ridiculed for this statement, but I hope Wood has a great year as well! He's always been one of my favorites for some reason.

That's the only way I wanted him back.

Not a huge fan of the Ramirez signing. I go back and forth. I don't see Ramirez as the kind of player that says "ok, now I'm gonna go out and show I deserved this contract". I see him as more of the kind of guy that will take it easy for 4 years now and then have a great 5th year. On the other hand, its tought to find a 3rd baseman that puts up his numbers.

            .
He'll have a great year of cheerleading --- he was in the national final last year, now if he can just do a backflip

Not that this means anything, but Chicago radio today is saying that Schmidt and Soriano are the Cubs' top priority!

I expect Schmidt to go to Seattle (his hometown). I think being a reliever will but to much stress on Wood's arm. That's why the Red Sox are moving Papplebon (sp) into the starting rotation...being a reliever was damaging his arm.

Two Great Re-ups. Next Year Instead Of Winning 66, They'll Win 70. Suckers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
