  • Senate Vote to Ban Internet Gambling!!

We need your help! After nearly a month of quiet, those trying to ban Internet gambling have officially restarted their efforts, this time in the U.S. Senate. On Thursday, July 31st, the Senate Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Committee will vote on the bill, S. 627, the so-called Unlawful Internet Gambling Funding Prohibition Act.

We need your help. This is one of our last chances to keep the government's hands off the Internet. After the House of Representatives passed this bill a month ago, we need to make our voices heard. We need to contact our Senators and tell them to vote against this bill.

Please log on to http://www.profreedom.com to send a letter and be sure to tell everyone you know to send one too!

    the nuts 2 cents

I guess most of you know that i bet mainly with bookies and so this affects me very little

BUT DONT YOU THINK THERE ARE BIGGER PROBLEMS IN LIFE THAN PEOPLE BETTING ON SPORTS!!! (especially offshore where no loan sharking or collection problems exist)

Parents killing children, shootings in schools, drugs, kids killing their friends, people starving in the streets, Kobe raping women, The RedSox choking, The Expos dumping all their talent, Shawn Kemp getting fatter and fatter by the second, etc....

Its even more ludicrous when you consider that many of the politicians sponsoring the bill have received a lot of money under the table over the years and other special favors and considerations from big corporations and businesses for sponsoring and helping to get legislation favorable to them(the corporations); and yet they want to regulate/eliminate internet gambling-yeah right. Huge double standard here.
For all we know, Vegas and others who might benefit by not having legalized gambling may be paying these guys off somehow under the table.
