You have a great one, too, kb!!!

              Guys,

I have to leave and work for two or three hours.

It appears that NCAABB trends are going to be a while coming out. I've already seen the "long" sheet for Thursday and it shows "No Significant Trends" for all four of today's NCAABB games. I will post the "short" sheet and the write-ups as soon as I get back.

              Good luck today, everybody!

                  NCAABB

Youngstown State routed Central Michigan last night, 74-50, as Chippewas shot just 30% from floor and fell behind 45-20 at the half. Much tougher tilt for Penguins tonight, as Michigan State trudged past Brown 45-34 last night, holding Princeton-like foe to 29.5% from floor, while sending them to charity stripe only 4 times. Spartans were -10 in turnovers (18-8) and seem a little bit offensively challenged, but Youngstown in trouble here.

Chicago State, to best of our knowledge, has only eight players on scholarship, as they lost three of their best players from last year, and then school dropped out of their conference, so their program is in dire straits right now. St Bonaventure was 8-19 LY, 2-14 in league play; they have a good frontcourt, but guards are shaky. At 17-66 in last three years, risky to lay points with kids who haven't learned how to win, even vs decimated Chicago St.

Texas has lot of newcomers, losing six players from LY, three of whom were drafted by NBA; the new guys are talented, but with Longhorns practicjng only four weeks, Barnes will be looking for combinations, to see who plays wll with whom. Alcorn State was 8-20 LY, 8-10 in weak league, but they have all five starters back and are expected to be much better this year, after losing 60 of 86 games in coach West's first three seasons. This could be long night for Alcorn, but at least they have an experience edge, the only edge they have going in.
