Eleven-year veteran wide receiver Amani Toomer, the New York Giants' career leader in receptions and receiving yards, will miss the rest of the season after doctors discovered a partial tear to the anterior cruciate ligament.

Toomer, 32, suffered the injury in last Sunday's 14-10 victory over the Houston Texans, but he is not certain at what point in the game the injury occurred. He will undergo surgery in coming days, and the Giants expect him to be fully rehabilitated well in advance of training camp next summer.

Through eight games, Toomer is tied for the team lead in receptions, with 32.

If Urlacher doesn't play because of a boo boo to his big toe, then he is half the man I think he is....

That makes one starter on offense and at least 3 and maybe 5 starters out on defense for the G-men.....
