            Monday's List of 13:

            Wrapping up an NFL Sunday

            13) AFC is now 12-3 vs NFC the last three Sundays.

            12) Underdogs continue to thrive, covering nine of 13, for a season total of 68-54.

            11) At 2:45 Sunday, all nine NFL telecasts were in commercial at the same time. What are the odds of that?

            10) Lions scored TD with 13:09 left to go up 26-14, instead of going for two, the proper play, they kicked PAT. Didn't matter but it was the wrong play by a rookie head coach.

            9) Dallas-Washington game was wild; with 2:29 left in the first quarter, Redskins had run 21 plays, Dallas four, but Dallas trailed only 5-0. End of the game was so bizarre, it is tough to explain, but I'll say this: Tony Romo will be a good NFL QB.

            8) The pass Romo threw to Witten with 0:06 left to set up the ill-fated field goal attempt was a Hall of Fame clutch pass.

            7) New Orleans outgained Tampa Bay 165-6 in first quarter, as Buccaneers didn't bother showing up until second quarter. Just a terrible performance by them, especially pass defense

            6) How did everyone miss this Colston kid on the Saints? He is a great possession receiver, and more valuable to Saints than Reggie Bush, at least in first half of season.

            5) Colston, Henderson both had 100+ receiving yards, when Joe Horn didn't make trip to Tampa. Good to have depth.

            4) Packers outgained Buffalo 427-184, but threw pick-6, then had two red zone turnovers, including a horrible INT when they had ball on Bills' 1-yard line in final 5:00. Bitter loss. Run the ball in-- is it that hard to figure out?

            3) This guy Marques Harris on Chargers scored defensive TD, then did cartwheel, backflip on his way back to bench. Never saw anyone do that before.

            2) Bears' turnover ratios, in last four games: +4/-4/+5/-4. They have had six turnovers twice in last six games, unacceptable.

            1) Winning teams' total turnover ratio, in thirteen games this Sunday: plus 31. 13 winning teams had 40 takeaways. Only the Redskins won with negative ratio (-1).

              Sunday's List of 13:

              Wrapping up college football Saturday

              13) Good for Rich Brooks; I liked the guy when he coached in St Louis, and now it looks as if he'll have Kentucky in a bowl in '06. They tore the goalposts down Saturday in Lexington.

              12) Miss State 24, Alabama 16. Trouble for young Shula. Its almost like, anytime an SEC team loses to Miss State, losing coach's job is in peril, whether that is fair or not.

              11) LSU 28, Tennessee 24 (with Vols playing their backup QB almost whole game) Relief for coach Miles- he got bleeped in his halftime interview with the underrated Stacy Wolfson. At last, the '06 Tigers beat a good team.

              10) Georgia Tech 21, NC State 13. Wolfpack, Tar Heels are on the lookout for new coaches. Wake Forest's 8-1 record hasn't made things easier for anyone else on Tobacco Road.

              9) From what you hear, Butch Davis can have North Carolina job, if he wants it.

              8) Rice was 1-10 LY, but are on three-game win streak, scoring 30+ points in all three, and are 4-5, despite totally changing their offense in one off-season. Tremendous coaching job.

              7) Texas A&M plays close game every week, but why a field goal with under 4:00 left, down 17-13? With the new, stupid clock rules, did Aggies think they had great shot at getting it back again? A&M is 8-2, but has to be some muttering today.

              6) This McFadden kid at Arkansas is a tremendous runner, and smart of Hogs not pump him up too much for Heisman; if he were to win, he might leave a year early. Who needs that?

              5) Ohio State, Michigan scores tell me one thing; both sides are already hunkering down for November 18. They'll both want strong efforts next week, in final dress rehearsals.

              4) Hawai'i is really good; whomever accepts the invite for the Dec 24 bowl game vs Warriors had better bring their A game.

              3) I feel bad for the kid who crashed into Joe Paterno, It does surprise you that more people on sidelines don't get hurt.

              2) Colorado is 1-9; the backup QB's are now Coach Hawkins' son and one of the tight ends. Could be a while before Buffs are any good again.

              1) The guy who does radio for Nebraska games is funny, but he isn't trying to be; he screamed Saturday when kickoff went for a touchback. Their passionate pleas for people to join the alumni groups (you don't have to be an alumnus, just give us money) are also pretty good.

                NFL

                Monday

Raiders (2-5) @ Seattle (4-3)-Oakland's defense has gotten lot better, allowing only two TDs on last 32 drives in wins over Cardinals, Steelers, while picking off six passes; add in 13-3 loss to Denver in last loss, and Raiders allowing just 11.7 ppg in last three games, so it is hot defense facing mobile QB Wallace, making second NFL start, first on home field. Seahawks allowed 32.2 ppg in last five games, yielding 18 TDs on last 56 drives, but they're 4-0 when giving up less than 31, and since Oakland gained total of 98 yards on 49 plays last week, hard to see them dropping 30 on Seattle.

                              Washington at Orlando
As goes Gilbert Arenas, so go the Wizards. That was clear as Arenas scored 44 points in a 124-117 win over Boston on Saturday just three nights after he was held to seven points in a 97-94 loss to Cleveland. While Arenas and the Wizards have found their rhythm, Orlando looked frustrated in a 95-82 loss yesterday in Atlanta. The Magic matched a franchise low with just eight assists and Dwight Howard was held to 11 points and eight rebounds, well below his average of 20.5 and 10. The loss was the second straight for Orlando, which also dropped a 105-103 decision at home to Philadelphia on Friday. With the Magic a 3 1/2-point Vegas favorite, the Wizards look like a solid upset pick according to Dunkel, which has the Wizards favored straight up by 4. Dunkel Pick: Washington (+3 1/2). Here are all of today's games.
