Apologies are in order after what I witnessed yesterday.
I would like to say sorry to all who played my two 400** plays.

In the Padres/Giants game, 7 runs were scored in the first 3 innings and we could not muster 3 more runs between the 4th and 9th innings. In th Yankee/Red Sox game, Yanks were in complete control for most of the game leading 3-0 until the debacle in the bottom of the 7th........

I feel strongly that I was on the right side of both plays but the bottom line is the outcome did not go in our favour.

All I can do to make it up is post some winners today.

I may be biased because I am a bigtime Red Sox fan, but I am shocked that Yankees are odds on favorite to win the World Series;personally I have doubts as to whether they like last year will even get out of first round (assuming of course that they win their division and even get in the playoffs).
This is not a vintage Yankee team by any stretch, and there are at least 3 or 4 times every bit as good if not better then they are.
People may say Red Sox were lucky yesterday that Torre pulled Weaver;I would reverse that and say that Yankees were lucky that Weaver (with his significantly more allowed hits than innings pitched) was lucky that Red ZSox bats were asleep last night;I bet he couldn't do that against Red Sox any more than Burkett could repeat on Sat what he did.
