  • BigJake's NCAA pick's 11-5-06

    Purdue +2
Reason: Michigan State.... hmmmm....the team has lost its coach but no one's been rude enough to tell him he's fired, so he keeps hanging around and pretending he still the coach, apparently this will continue for the rest of the season. I predict this will have a negative emotional effect on the young Master Chiefs and basically they'll fall apart, except this time they won't have NWesterns secondary and third stringers to stage a comeback, IF they even decide to make one.
    Vanderbilt +17
Reason: being that I am a distinguished alumni in good standing of this fine university, I must go with the Commodores. Go Dores!

    Nevada Reno -10
Reason: Being that I have a new connection in my life to UNR and more broadly to the good and earthy people of northern nevada, I will go with the always covering indomitable wolf pack.

    Boston College -3½
Reason: BC is a better team and better coached and possess emotions and motivations that they control and not the other way around. this bet could lose, but I would be surprised and WF is way too roller coastery to be accountable for shit.

    Georgia Tech -4½
Reason: there's no reason they don't blow this one out if they're at all playing to form. Of course, that's the catch isn't it? After the whole Clemson fiasco, I think my hometown boys (born and raised in A-town) will take it to the streets like an American Idol winner.

    Virginia Tech -3
Reason: aww shit! VT rockin ya! Miami's in the shitter and all VT needs to do is press the handle.

    Georgia -280
Reason: I actually have my kidney on this bet. If it loses, someone lives but I'm stuck with only one nephron mass for which to clear my blood's impurities and maintain electrolyte balance. If I win, someone dies and I receive their fortune!

    Tennessee +4.5,
Reason: I don't give a fuck if I'm starting QB for TN tomorrow, if LSU tigers win tomorrow and I bet against the orange tide, my heart would sense my brain's betrayal. I am going with the Vols, because my heart will always belong in Tennessee. Plus they should rock them.

I hate you Georgia. A touchdown in the last minute by Kentucky. Way to blow it again. Now I lose my kidney!
