Nailed the big NBA play last night as Indiana pulled away late, but lost all the smaller ones as the Celtics yet again play a poor opening night at home, the Pistons forgot to show up and defend someone on Milwaukee to at least keep it close, and the Clippers just couldn't pull out a cover....
Onto tonight...
10* Mavericks - 3
I am playing this for a few reasons... Yes there is the revenge factor from last year for San Antonio, but that was then and this is now... Tony Parker will not be at full strength and I feel this is a key. He led the team in scoring last year but is also a key set up man. While Manu can basically run the point from the 2 spot, it will not be the same. The Mavs are a deeper team than last year. They have more forgotten stars and starters who seem fine coming off the bench. The opening night has been kind to both teams recently, but I feel Dallas can pull away late with this one. Expect a close game, but Dallas wins by 6 on a few late free throws.
Clippers/Nuggets over 208 2* - I know LAC played last night, but these are two uptempo teams who can light it up.
2* 4 team tease.. Dalls +7, Under 198, Clipps over 198, Clipps +13....
