I had an awful Sunday, going 0-2 in the NFL and 0-1 in college. Time for a rebound, I hope.
Thursday:
1* Louisville -1 1/2
This game had been targeted by me for a few weeks as my GOY and I'm backing off to a regular old 1* but I still like the play. West Virginia may be unbeaten but they've played NOBODY, unless you count Maryland. They've piled up fat stats against a very soft schedule that gets hard starting with this game. Louisville is totally banged up and lost a top defensive starter for this week. But Brohm's been back for a few weeks and the Cardinals are close to unbeatable at home. WV won this game last year because of about nine fluky plays and Louisville has been obsessed with the rematch.
Wedensday:
opinion only: Fresno State
Fresno has as much talent as Boise but Hill lost control of the team. Fresno has won ONLY ONCE since almost beating USC last year---a loss that shattered the team. I have a hunch there's going to be a wakeup tonight after the team played very hard and didn't quit at LSU. I'd make it a play but I'm going to leave it as just a strong "opinion" because of the uncertainty about Fresno's mental state.
Question of the day: Is this Boise QB Zabransky's eleventh year on campus or twelfth??
