  • I Like Minny Big

The Patriots, have outplayed their stats. Incredibly on offense they get 5.0 yards per play against teams normally allowing 5.1. On defense they allow 5.3 yards per play to teams normally getting 5.0. That includes allowing 6.8 yards per pass to teams normally getting 6.1.

The Nordic Explorers get .1 more yards per play than teams that normally allow and that includes 4.2 yards per rush against teams normally allowing 3.8. However defense is where their biggest advantage is. They allow 3.1 yards per rush to teams normally getting 3.8 and 5.7 yards per pass to teams normally getting 6.4. Overall they hold teams to a full half-yard BELOW NORMAL AVARAGE

A reason why New England’s stats appear better in rankings but are not in actual ratings, which are much more important, is because Minnesota has played the 9th toughest schedule, which New England only the 18th.

It will be a big home field advantage. It's been five years since the Vikings have played at home on Monday night, and there's no doubt these notoriously noisy fans will be primed and ready for a long-awaited appearance on the week's biggest stage.

Look ahead? New England plays undefeated Indianapolis next week
