thanks guys! I'm glad I could bring it home tonight. I had three reasons for picking VT. First, clemson was headed for a letdown post GaTech win, the hangover alone (literally, the hangover) probably did not fade until midweek). two, VT is actually a solid team. third, the public was dumping money on the over and Clemson.

Someone earlier posted something strange about services being "all over" VT and how that was an indication that clemson would beat the spread. The reason that was strange is that so much of the public was on clemson on the day before kickoff (i posted it somewhere else, the place escapes me at the moment) but by kickoff 70 percent of the public was still on Clemson. And if the touts are a general indication of where the public places it's late money on, then the touts were suggesting clemson not VT. Where is the disconnect here? Most money is independent of services and that few people actually follow the touts? Who should we fade, the public or the services?
My gut instinct tells me that perhaps the reason is that when fading services who are all on one play is a proxy for determining the public's pulse and it's money location, as the number of talking heads disseminate opinions, the more this opinion will be followed by the public at large. And hence, fading services when they're all on the same side is like fading the public. Thoughts? Am I talking out of my ass?

68% percent of public money on OVER.
while only 59 % on Tulsa side bet. I'm not touching the spread (that sounded dirty).
Big Ups to yall in BC nation!

                              For Saturday 10/27/06

4.5 pts left till the over hits and an entire quarter to play on the UTEP/Tulsa game. I still like the pick... anyway...

                              Tomorrow...

                              * i think there's a danger in me being cocky on this one, so let's just say I like this one and hope it pays out. I don't believe in GOY's, but i do believe in "stronger" plays. This would qualify as one of those.
