Damn Phil and that OML....Now I can't speak straight!
Nice sweep night last night and going low profile again for winners to compact earnings.
FOR TONIGHT:
(4*)==> MARINERS-SEATT/TEX (O)8.5
Mariners coming off an embarrassing shutout.....as chance would have it the Texas pitching staff is coming to town AND bring a new kid with them as more cannon fodder. Rangers will zap Moyer for 3 or 4 runs in the game but they will already be down by nine at the time! Ellis for Tex had a HORRIBLE minor league record before coming up....what will the Mariners do to him!?
Ellis was recalled Monday from Triple-A Oklahoma. The right-hander is 6-5 with a 5.65 ERA in 17 big league starts, the last of which came in July, 2001. In 21 games for Oklahoma, Ellis was 3-9 with a 4.80 ERA and two saves.
(5*)==>[YES...I AM PLAYING A CHALK FAV!]...ROCKIES -166
The Brewers may get a couple runs early but the Rockies will follow with more. The difference here is two rookie pitchers in a hitters park and the two bullpens. The Stros have 3 guys that can pitch 9 shutout innings. The Brewers have 9 innings to find 3 guys that can combine for one shutout inning. The over 13 might be a good bet here as well but the Rockies are sky high on their number one pick and signed this kid giving him more money than the Braves, Yanks and other big boys were willing to part with! So I would normally jump the over but this has sucker written all over it!
(2*)==>UPSET SPECIAL TONIGHT S.D. +150
Why is the hottest team in baseball...AT HOME....WITH ONE OF THEIR TWO TOP PITCHERS....PLAYING A BASEMENT DWELLER....only a -170....Nothing close to the -200 to -260 other big boys are getting.
I'm not totally crazy with this as the Padres have been red hot themselves, just got Phil Nevin back with the rest of the offense hot and Eaton is on fire. On the other hand, S.F. will probably have Reuter on a pitch count and their pen got worked out vs Arz while S.D. WAS ENJOYING DAYS OFF. Here the pitchers. I REALLY LIKE THIS PICK FOR A DIAMOND DOG
Eaton is 3-0 with a 0.90 ERA in his last four starts, including an 11-pitch outing against St. Louis on July 13 when he was ejected for hitting slugger Albert Pujols with two outs in the first inning. Eaton is 2-2 with a 4.50 ERA in five career starts against the Giants.
Kirk Rueter on the disabled list since July 9 due to a strained shoulder, is expected to be activated to make this start. Rueter is 0-2 with a 7.62 ERA in his last six starts.
(2*)==>BALT +110
I thought Balt could win this game outright before yesterday....but with the Jays going 13 INNINGS and long into the night and depleting their players and energy......I like the O's chances even better if Johnson quiets the Toronto bats like last nights effort vs the Sox. Besides....this guarantees a Trix fade to Tor and the under! : - )
THATS IT FOR TONIGHT AND GOOD LUCK EVERYBODY!! GoldV
