CFB YTD 25-19 +1.6 units
2* 2-4 -4.8 units
1* 23-15 +6.4 units
CFB/NFL Combined 35-25 +6.9 units
2* 4-4 -0.8 units
1* 31-21 +7.7 units
I got off to a 1-0 start Thursday night with Central Michigan and have hit eight of my last ten, NFL and CFB combined.
1* Maryland -1 1/2
I liked Maryland's last two games, a road win at Virginia and a tough road loss to a real good Georgia Tech team. NC State has been inconsistent all year and travels after three straight home games.
1* Nebraska +4 1/2
Nebraska's only loss was on the road to Southern Cal and they get better every week as the offense gets used to Callahan's west coast style. The Nebraska defense has been outstanding. The only good team Texas has beaten is Oklahoma and they got a lot of breaks in that game. This game is a major statement for Nebraska as it attempts to move back to the elite of college football.
1* Washington State +3 1/2
This one's easy to explain. I think Wash State is better than Oregon, they're at home and they're getting points. Wash State defense is outstanding and held Cal to 21 on the road in last week's loss.
1* South Florida -1
(NOTE: This game is Sunday.) This is a good team. They whipped North Carolina on the road last week, drubbed Connecticut and lost by only two to unbeaten Rutgers. Cincinnati may let down after a tough loss last week to Louisville.
Opinions only:
Michigan State (two screwed up programs with coaches who will be fired, so go with the one with better talent)
Penn State (Illinois' last two losses were real ugly)
Purdue (I keep going against Wisconsin and losing with rated plays, so let's just make this an opinion)
