I am NOT playing tonight's game as I have a pending +485 play on the Cardinals to win the World Series. I do, however, have thoughts on the game.
This is an enormous pitching mismatch. Suppan has been St. Louis' best pitcher for six weeks and is going on normal rest. New York's Randolph, left without options, is using his very worst starter and doing so on short rest. Oliver Perez has been awful all year. However, the Mets have a huge trend going for them with Game Six home winners winning Game sevens the last eleven times. The Mets may be able to overcome the pitching disadvantage. Also, St. Louis' bullpen is awful and proved it again last night with Looper's disastrous outing. All told, I lean toward the Cardinals because the price is right but am not playing anything because my goal is for St. Louis to win to keep my future bet alive.
