I tell myself this everyyear, always play under durring mlb playoffs. ALWAYS PLAY UNDER. I dont know if tommorows game is going under. So when I'm breaking down todays game I think, John Maine is a one pitch pitcher, the Cardnals just saw him pitch a couple days ago, no way they dont get a couple of runs against him. So I bet Cardinals (on tradesports live betting) thinking I switch to the mets latter in the game. But another no name pitcher blanks me in the playoffs. Bet under ALWAYS. I know it sounds too easy, but check out the last couple of years

Under probably has won more than over recently (don't have the stats). Tonight should have gone over 8 easily and I think tomorrow sails over 9.
Tomorrow is no holds barred, bullpens to the end. Both teams will claw and scratch for every single run, and you have the Pujols, Delgado, etc variables in there for a homer or two.
Just my two cents.......GL either way!Winna, Winna, Chicken Dinna!!!

I'm with ya Dirk. there's no way in hell they lose this game just like there was no way the Mets would have to win in 7.The 1927 Yankees weren't the best team ever. What everyone fails to realize is that the year before, with the exact same team, they lost to the Cardinals in the World Series.

With the total number being at 9 one thing is for sure imo. The books don't like to give money back, so this game will go over or under 9 imo it will not push. That being said, which way do you go? Just by looking at the starters and the hitters in the lineup one would have to think the over. I looked a little into it and here is what I came up with.
1.I ran my numbers. I have St. Louis scoring 5.1 and the Mets scoring 4.2 for a total of 9.3. 9 but a low 9.
2. The Ump, T. Welke. Here is his break down.
Avg runs 10.36
Strike outs 12.6
Walks 7.0
HR 1.9
Home team as the Fav. [-101 / -120] 3 - 2
O/U 9, 6 - 3
Home team W / L 21 - 15
Looks like a over to me from this point of view but look how he favors VS the teams and pitching.
Last 10 games overall O / U
Over 2 / Under 8
Last 10 VS the Cards
Over 3 / Under 7
Total VS Suppan O5 - U5
Last 10 VS the Mets
Over 1 / under 9
Total VS Perez O1 / U1
I like the OVER here, but I'm going to fade the play and take the UNDER for a small amount.
