I think that their win @ Houston gives me a couple points of line value. They have played a brutal schedule so far against far better competition than what Lafayette has to offer. There numbers suffer a little bit because of the schedule imo. That's why they play the game Like you said, not all of us will lose tonight

B4 I leave for work....the game at Houston came after Houston was @ Miami and B 4 S MISS (reigning Cof USA champ)
With that said Best of luck to you all and I am shutting this down before you talk me out of my pick......lol

Thanks for all you do Wayne! It's appreciated even though I don't come here as often anymore I try and look up your picks and hate being opposite, it's usually bad for me.

I have to disagree. UL took their lumps too against top competition on the road @ LSU & @ Texas A&M. Since those opening 2 games, they have scored 48,33 & 31 points in 3 consecutive wins including the game @ Houston.

The best team FAU played was Clemson. The other 3 (K. St, S. Car, Okie St) are not even on the level as LSU & A&M (Imo).

That's why i love this place. The talk is great!

ULL avg. 209 rush yards per game, gives up 110
FAU avg. 106 rush yards per game, gives up 184

When one team has more than a 100 yd rush advantage PLUS a better rush defense, that is a play in my book!

LSU is comparable to Clemson. A&M comparable to Okie St, which I think we'll see this weekend. I think South Caro is better than A&M as well. I love the differing opinions as well. Definitely opens your eyes to the way other people look at the same game, and down the road, it can only help us all to be better cappers Best of luck to ya my man

p.s. I just saw your Muts play and I'm liking the Cards. Go Figure

I hope they run all night. I think 47 is a little high for this game. Going under...

                          Ronny,

It's simple to me. Just like we both thought Glavine would get hit the other night, i think the same is going to happen to Carpenter tonight. This isn't Maine's 1st start and i don't think the nerves will be there. I really see them putting alot of pressure on the Cards tonight to manufacture runs.

Carpenter could be on his game like he usually is and the Cards could punch their ticket to the series. I just have a funny feeling the atmosphere and the Mets are going to bring this to a game 7. I also don't trust the Cardinal offense nearly as much as the Mets. I know pitching wins (Carpenter) but the Injuries to Rolen, Pujols, Eckstein & Edmonds are in the back of my mind with this play too.

These two pitchers matched up in game two and when they were both gone from the game, the Mets held a 6-4 lead heading to the 7th. A 3-Run blast in the 9th won it for the Cards and Maine (imo) out pitched Carpenter. Why Not?
