  • Wed Night in the Sun Belt

My first impression on the game was "What the hell the Louisiana Laffalots are favored, substantially, over someone, it must be a play on situation". But in the words of Lee Corso...."Not so fast my friend".

    I'm taking......
    FAU +8' over La Laffayette

The Owls rank at or near the bottom of most defensive statistical categories, however looking at their schedule they have played a monsterous road schedule, by Sun Belt standards, to date (@Clem, @K st, @Ok st, @So Car) They stepped back in class vs. a conf foe @ La Mon (winning 21-19). La. Mon is #1 passing o in conf and #3 in rushing o in conf. FAU held them to 122 yards rushing well below their 201 ypg avg. And if you take away 1 rush which was for 39 yds from the equation La Mon was held to 83 yds on 27 carries, just over 3 ypc. La Mon did have success through the air, but La Laff is ranked last in passing o in the Sun Belt.

La Laff is 3-12 in their last 15 tries as a fav. If it wasn't for La Laff playing with revenge against FAU, I would probably be more excited about this game and make a small offering on the money line, but let's be real it's FAU and it's the Sun Belt, so a small piece on the home dog.

Best of Luck to you all on whatever you play.....

Saw this posted...you might want to confirm/deny it...could make a diff...

Florida Atlantic may be without its top four receivers when they host Louisiana-Lafayette Wednesday night as 8-point dogs.
After opening as high as +10 at some books, the line was dropped to 8 early Monday morning.
FAU listed Casey McGahee (ankle), Cortez Gent (ankle), Chris Bonner (illness) and Frantz Simeon (shoulder) as questionable for the game.
              FUCK YOU, FUCK ME

                Thank You VV
Sounds credible and I will try to find out if I can. BUT NCAA rules do not mandate that teams disclose injuries before the games, like the NFL so sometimes that info is hard to confirm.
My take is that linesmakers usually have that type of info available and it has been worked into the line.
                Thanks again and good luck.

I'm no authority, BY NO MEANS, I only 'capped this "pig wrestling" because it is still an income earning opportunity and I enjoy handicapping games.

however......sounds good to me. I don't foresee more then 45 being scored.

FAU is 12 PF and 36PA with 106 rush and 184pass
LLaf is 24 PF and 29PA with 209 rush and 101pass

If FAU can detain BABB who is a major threat in the sun belt at QB/RB........ (LLaf also has an excellent kicker) they should stay with in the numbers

being that some of the rec's for FAU are out.... they have others and will be in good shape through the air >>>rushing is not so good though the victory last year 28-10 was by FAU FAU is now home had played a tougher schedule the points are a + but I see FAU needing a little more points if they can't stop the running game I figured the total at 48 and the under looks good the tease would probably be the best bet in this situation................ +15 under55 good luck OGARZA
