Today I played the Buffalo Sabres on the puck line(+170) and morning line (-175). I put 1.9 units on the ML and 1.09 units on the puck line.

If the Sabres win by 2 or more goals I win both bets. I they win by one goal I break even.

In the long run would it be better just to play the puck line only or protect myself by splitting up my units and playing the ML and puck line.

I'm sure Frank might have an answer for me.

Yes.. If they win by 2 goals you win them both.. If they win by 1 goal you lose the puck line and win on the ML.. Unless i really like a team i will play the ML.. Last night i won on a puck line bet at -1.5 for +160 and they won by 2.. I had to sweat it out a little.. Its just like the Run Line in baseball better value but ya do have to sweat it out sometimes hoping that they win by 2 goals instead of just wanting them to win that game.. Hope this helped ya out gl with your wagers!
