  • Gonna Pound the Hell out of...........

The D-Town Tigers in the Series.

If this team doesnt remind you of last year's ChiSox you are crazy. Great pitching, not a ton of power, but timely hitting.

Throw that in w/ the fact they are getting to rest everyone (including Zumaya), they can set the rotation however they want. I havent checked on that, but I would start Rogers game 1.

Their pitching can stiff that great Mets lineup, throw in homefield and they are looking at a win in 4 or 5 games.

Really hope my Cards can win the NL, but they need to win tonight and win game 6 w/ Carp.

    GL dudes!

Well rested pitchers are often ineffective as pitchers throwing on three days rest. The delay might stop some of their momentum.

The delay would hurt them if the NL team had a day or 2 off, but playing 3 days in a row and 7 out of 8 is good for no team.

Especially considering the amount of pitches thrown by each bullpen. In game 2 and 3 the Met pen threw over 200 pitches!

And game 4 the Cards pen was up there as well. They are gonna have to play Tues, Wednsday, Thursday, fly to Detroit Friday and play Sat. night. Bad recipe.

Detroit will be favored to win the series. They are playing the best baseball.

That being said, IMO rest will not be a major factor. Teams play 10, 12, 15 days in a row all season. They play 7 of 8 days all season. In this case it hurts the Mets because they are without two starters. I think the effect on the Cards will be minimal.

Mets pen is very well rested...game 3 Oliver pitched 6 innings and they used one other reliever for one inning....number of pitches is very misleading. Cards pen was used heavily in game 4 but they have had an off day to recover. Both pens, I would think, are fine heading into tonight.

I dont think Tigers are gonna mess with the rotation as they have each pitched exactly once in the same game of each series since each has gone 4 games.......I do agree rust might kick in a little in the first inning or 2 but after that if they get rolling downhill itll be over quick

Im thinking Tigers beat Cards in 6

              PEACE
